While touring on July 2019 the Harlem rapper was arrested in Sweden after a fight with two individuals who followed the rapper around Stockholm for numerous minutes which led to the altercation. The incident which was caught on tape caused the arrest and jailing of the emcee.
It also led to worldwide media coverage from sites like TMZ, with numerous celebrity reactions and with fans posting Free Asap Rocky. Even producer/rapper Kanye West chimed in which led former President Donald Trump to Tweet and get involved in the issue but the commander in chief could do nothing to help the release from jail.
Rocky who was jailed for a month, was convicted of assault and charged with $1,270 in damages to the victim but did not have to serve any more jail time. Now ASAP Rocky is set to release a Sweden arrest documentary about his ordeal. The name of the documentary is Stockholm Syndrome, it is set to premiere at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and will be part of the Juneteenth segment of the festival. The documentary directed by Architects will feature Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell, Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Ferg, and numerous footage from Rocky.
